Capabilities

Six practice lines, one contractual point of accountability.

Our capabilities cover the full below-grade scope of a Canadian capital project — from investigative drilling through production piling, shoring, and mass earthworks. We self-perform the work with our own crews, equipment, and licensed engineers.

01

Deep Foundations

Scope

Driven steel H-piles and pipe piles; augercast (CFA) piles; drilled shafts and caissons to 30 m depth; helical piles for retrofit and light-loaded structures; micropiles for constrained access; permanent and temporary sheet piling.

Deliverables

Pile design under APEGA Permit to Practise; installation records with pile-driving analyzer (PDA) data; dynamic and static load testing per ASTM D4945 and ASTM D1143.

Applicable Standards

CSA A23.3, CSA S6 (Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code), CSA S16, DFI best practice.

02

Excavation Support & Shoring

Scope

Secant and tangent pile walls; soldier pile and lagging systems; soil nailing and shotcrete facing; braced and tied-back excavations; cofferdams for in-water and near-water construction.

Deliverables

Stamped shoring drawings, instrumentation and monitoring plans, and third-party verification packages for occupied adjacent structures.

Applicable Standards

CFEM (Canadian Foundation Engineering Manual, 5th ed.), OHSA excavation regulations by province.

03

Mass Earthworks

Scope

Bulk excavation, cut-and-fill balancing, structural fill placement and compaction, subgrade preparation, temporary and permanent haul roads, water management, and progressive site reclamation.

Deliverables

Digital terrain models, 3D machine-control files, daily production reports, and QC compaction testing to owner specifications.

Applicable Standards

MTO OPSS, Alberta Transportation, BC MoTI, and municipal specifications as applicable.

04

Ground Improvement

Scope

Dynamic compaction, vibro-replacement stone columns, deep soil mixing, jet grouting, and permeation and compaction grouting to remediate compressible, liquefiable, or contaminated ground.

Deliverables

Pre- and post-treatment CPT verification, settlement modelling, and long-term monitoring instrumentation.

Applicable Standards

CFEM Chapter 21, FHWA GEC-13 principles adapted for Canadian conditions.

05

Geotechnical Instrumentation

Scope

Inclinometers, piezometers, settlement plates, tiltmeters, load cells, and automated data-acquisition networks with cellular telemetry and dashboard reporting.

Deliverables
